At JUYEE, we are committed to supplying high-quality chemical raw materials that comply with global environmental regulations. We closely monitor international regulatory updates to support our clients in meeting global compliance requirements and navigating supply chain audits smoothly.
I. Major International Regulations & Standards
1. REACH — EU Chemical Regulation
The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (EC No 1907/2006) governs all chemical substances entering the European Union market. We continuously monitor the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) SVHC Candidate List to ensure full supply chain notification and compliance.
2. RoHS — Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive
Restricts 10 hazardous substances (including heavy metals and 4 phthalates: DEHP, DBP, BBP, and DIBP) in electrical and electronic equipment (typically restricted to < 0.1% / 1000 ppm). Our applicable raw materials fully comply with EU RoHS 2.0 (Directive 2011/65/EU and its amendments).
3. California Proposition 65
California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 restricts chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm (currently listing over 1,000 substances). We provide chemical profile disclosures to help clients fulfill Prop 65 warning requirements on consumer goods.
4. POPs & PFAS — Persistent Organic Pollutants & Sustainability Limits
We proactively screen raw materials for Persistent Organic Pollutants (under the Stockholm Convention and EU POPs Regulation EU 2019/1021) and Per/Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to support long-term environmental sustainability and mitigate compliance risks.
II. Product-Specific Compliance Guidelines
1. Plasticizers
Taiwan Regulations: Complies with the migration limits specified in the Sanitation Standard for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages, as well as mandatory reporting under the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act.
International Standards: Products align with EU RoHS and REACH SVHC regulations, strictly controlling phthalate content (including DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIBP, DINP, and DIDP) for exported consumer goods and electronics.
2. UV Absorbers & Light Stabilizers
REACH SVHC: Closely tracked for SVHC listings such as UV-327, UV-350, and UV-320.
POPs Regulation: For restricted substances like UV-328 and Dechlorane Plus, we provide compliant raw materials and alternative solutions that meet POPs regulation thresholds.
3. Flame Retardants
EU POPs: Complies with updated thresholds for Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs, recycled content limit 10 ppm) and Dechlorane Plus.
US State Laws: Aligns with state-level regulations (e.g., Massachusetts H4900) prohibiting the intentional addition of specified flame retardants in residential furniture, textiles, and children’s products (total content < 1000 ppm).
4. Phosphate Esters & Other Functional Additives
SVHC & TSCA: Tracks endocrine disrupting substances like Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP/TPhP) under REACH SVHC, while complying with US EPA TSCA risk management rules for PBT chemicals such as PIP (3:1) and decaBDE.
