Overview
PNBR 35‑2 is a lightly crosslinked powdered nitrile rubber.
Due to its excellent compatibility with PVC, it is widely used as an elastic modifier in PVC formulations.
It enhances oil resistance, heat resistance, and low‑temperature flexibility.
In wire and cable applications, its internal plasticization provides softness and elasticity, improving aging resistance and fatigue resistance.
Finished products may exhibit the characteristic odor of nitrile rubber, which is inherent to the material.
Origin: China
Physical Properties
| Appearance | White or light‑yellow powder |
| Mooney Viscosity, ML(1+4) 100 °C | 40–60 |
| Acrylonitrile Content | 30–33% |
| Sieve Residue (0.90 mm) | ≥98% |
Applications
PNBR 35‑2 is mainly used in:
- Footwear materials
- Oil‑resistant hoses
- Wires and cables
- Sealing strips
- Tubing
- Foamed materials
Typical dosage: 5–30 phr
To prevent powder agglomeration, it is recommended to add PNBR during the cooling stage.
It can also be used in formulations requiring anti‑slip performance.
