Overview
IPPP and CDP are liquid phosphate ester flame retardants that provide both flame‑retardant and plasticizing functions.
They are commonly used in PVC, PU, rubber, and engineering plastics formulations.
| Product | Appearance | Phosphorus Content (%) | Color (APHA) | Specific Gravity (20°C) | Acid Value (mg KOH/g) | Water Content (%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| IPPP | Colorless or light‑yellow transparent liquid | ≥ 8.3 | ≤ 50 | 1.16–1.18 | ≤ 0.1% | ≤ 0.1% |
| CDP | Colorless or light‑yellow transparent liquid | ≥ 9.1 | ≤ 50 | 1.197–1.215 | ≤ 0.1% | ≤ 0.1% |
CDP is listed as a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) under the EU REACH regulation; if the concentration in the formulation exceeds 0.1 wt%, information disclosure is required.
